Privacy policy

This policy is issued by AB International Ltd(“AB International”, “we”, “us”), a wholesale distribution business based at 3/117 Montgomerie Rd, Mangere, Manukau 2022, New Zealand. It explains how we collect, use, store, and protect personal information under the Privacy Act 2020, and applies to our wholesale trading platform, giveaway and promotional forms, and related websites.

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

• Giveaway and promotion entries — whether you're a consumer or retailer, your email address and/or mobile number, age bracket, and suburb or city.
• Trade account and ordering — name, email, business details, order history, and account credentials for customers using our wholesale ordering platform.

We only collect what we need for the purpose it's gathered for, and we don't require more information than is reasonably necessary.

We use personal information to:

• Run giveaways and promotions, including contacting and verifying winners.
• Provide and manage wholesale trading accounts and orders.
• Respond to enquiries and provide customer support.
• Send marketing communications, but only where you've given us express consent to do so — separate from entering a giveaway or promotion.

We store information using reputable third-party service providers, including Airtable (giveaway and promotion entries) and Firebase (account authentication). These providers may store data on servers located outside New Zealand, including in the United States.

Under Information Privacy Principle 12 of the Privacy Act 2020, sending information to a service provider solely for safe custody or processing on our behalf does not require the same safeguards as a full disclosure — but we remain responsible for making sure these providers protect your information appropriately, and we choose providers with strong security and data-handling practices.

We don't sell personal information. We share it only with the service providers described above (acting on our instructions), and where required by law.

If you've opted in to receive marketing messages from us, every message will identify AB International and include a way to unsubscribe. You can withdraw consent at any time, and we'll stop sending marketing messages once you do, in line with the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007.

We keep giveaway and promotion entries only for as long as needed to run the promotion and contact winners, and delete or anonymise entries afterwards unless you've separately opted in to marketing. Trade account information is kept for as long as your account is active and as required by law (e.g. for tax and accounting records).

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it's wrong. To make a request, contact us using the details below — we'll respond as soon as reasonably practicable.

Our giveaway forms ask for an age bracket, which may include entrants under 18. We collect only the minimum information needed to run the promotion fairly, and prize eligibility rules (where they apply) will always be stated on the specific promotion.
